Q.  To start things off what can you tell us about yourself?

A.  I'm one of the founding members of the Bizzaro Future Circus. With the help of Bizzaro we put together this Circus and since Jan 10th 2003 we have been performing all over Dallas, TX. I am also the host of a internet radio show called the Last Known Transmission, Saturdays 5-7pm Central time on Musicians.net.

Q.  Was there anything in particular that made you want to become a sideshow performer? 

A.  I've been a fan of Circus Sideshow for as long as I can remember. It wasn't until I saw the Jim Rose Circus for the first time that I knew that I wanted to devote my life to the Art of Sideshow though.

Q.  What acts do you perform?

A.  Human Blockhead, Walking/Jumping on Glass, Face in Glass with someone on my head, Escaping from a Straightjacket while being hit with Wiffle Ball Bat. I am also working on adding new stunts to my show.

Q.  Where did you learn these acts?

A.  Most of my stunts were self-taught, but my partner in crime Bizzaro helped point me in the right direction on how to do the stunts.

Q.  What is it that makes your performance different than other performers?

A.  With the Bizzaro Future Circus, we rarely take ourselves too seriously. We like to have as much crowd interaction as we can.  We like to be right up next to the people we are performing for.

Q.  What would you say is the hardest act you perform?

A.  Escaping from a Straightjacket. Getting out of the jacket is not so bad, but it’s dealing with the fact that I am being hit with a wiffle ball bat that makes the stunt much harder.

Q.  What would you say is the easiest act?

A.  The Human Blockhead.  I think this is every sideshow performers first stunt to learn.

Q.  How long have you been performing in the sideshow business?

A.  I have only been performing in sideshow for about a year now, but I have been a fan of it for as long as I can remember.

Q.  Have you noticed any changes in the business since you started a year ago?

A.  I think fan interest has increased a lot. People like seeing things that they know normal people should not see. Since the Jim Rose Circus, I think more performers have started to pop up and make their own voice in the world.

Q.  What would a person experience if they went to see you perform?

A.  A fun time.  We like to have people get nice and close to us when we are performing. It’s one thing to see it on TV, but it’s a whole other thing when its 2 feet in front of you.

Q.  What kinds of things do you do to prepare yourself for a show?

A.  First I double-check all my gear. I want to make sure that it’s all there and ready to go. Then I say a little prayer to myself.  Since I put my face in glass the last thing I want to happen is for me to come out of the glass looking like Jason has gotten a hold of me.

Q.  Most performers it seems have had at least one mishap on stage.  Have you?

A.  Yes.  I was doing face in glass and I had a young lady on my head. She was barefoot because she had heels on. As she was coming off of my head she slipped and leg dropped me back into the glass. Right then and there I thought that I was going to come out of the glass covered in my own blood. Luckily I didn't and I hope that I never do!

Q.  Is there one show or event that you’ll never forget?

A.  Yes, Friday the 13th at the Red Blood Club. It was the Bizzaro Future Circus’ first time to headline a show. It was a wild night and you could tell the audience had a blast.

Q.  You perform with many other people in the Bizzaro Future Circus, what made you decide to join a group rather than go solo?

A.  I thought that it was much harder to go solo, plus Bizzaro was the man that helped me learn most of my stunts and he is a great talker so it was an easy choice to help put together the Bizzaro Future Circus.

Q.  What do you like best about performing with the Bizzaro Future Circus?

A.  Since there are more people more stunts can be performed.

Q.  What do you like least about performing as a group?

A.  Having to wait my turn to perform. I get nervous before I perform but once I hit the stage and start doing my act everything is fine.

Q.  Is the Bizzaro Future Circus a touring type show or do you generally perform in the same venues?

A.  Right now we are not touring. We have a really great manager though and we are currently working on putting together a "Bizzaro Future Circus Tour".

Q.  If you had to explain what the Bizzaro Future Circus is to someone who has never heard of it what would you say?

A.  I think we are a “Punk Rock Freakshow”. We perform at a lot of Rock Clubs and we use “Punk/Horror Rock” music during our act.
