Max Rosenstock "the
village blacksmith" claims the title of "America's strongman" in
a demon-stration in Hollenbeck Park, here.
To prove his claim
he made an effort to lift thirty Los Angeles Policemen standing
on a platform; let police twist an 1-1/4th
inch
steel rod around him while he hold it in his teeth; pulled ten
coppers; and let fifty officers walk over a bridge resting on
him while he lay on a bed of nails. He is 5ft. 5ins. tall
weighs 162 pounds and is from the New York East Side.

Los Angeles, the
first Jewish aviator in this country, Max Rosenstock, from New
York East Side, the strongest man in the world, recently
graduated from the Culver City Air Port. He finds his
tremendous strength unnecessary in actual flying, but he is a
handy man to have on the ground for moving large ships and
holding planes back when the motors are being tested in full
speed by his strength, as the above picture shows 3-5-29
