When I was a kid in the late 1950s and early 60s I went to an amusement park near where I lived in Utah, it was called Lagoon.  I remember the Fun House and a House of Mirrors in the Park.  I still have nightmares about a fat lady or man seated on top of one of the entrances, it would laugh all the time.

Do you have any info.  about the laughing person?  It scared me to death when I was little.

I hope you can help me,  Mary Anderson, Scottsdale AZ.

Mary, Here's a link to information about Fun House's, Dark Rides and what you refer to as the laughing person.

If it was female it would be called Laffing Sal, a male was called Laffing Sam.  Both had bright colored hair and were huge moving figure with a loud laugh that is still etched in every child's mind who saw them.  Many adults as you do, still remember the fear they felt when they see one of them even today.
