was wondering if you had any insight into this woodcut
that is about 8 feet high.
I think it is pine. Where
could I start researching

Jeffrey; My
first thought about your woodcut is it's a printers
block for printing large posters for a carnival.
The image to the left
is a large poster from the Ringing Bros and
Barnum & Bailey Circus - pictured with the poster is
Pete Turhurne aka little Pooba.
In the pass large
posters were posted on buildings to promote a
carnival or circus before they were to arrive in an
area.
Today the front man
posted small posters and gives out to business
children's tickets or comp passes.
I will see if I can
find more info about the woodcut. My first thought
may not be what your woodcut was made for, the image
on it looks a lot like poster I have seen.
