The Long and Short of It!

 

Hello John,

First let me introduce myself, my name is Bill Strong, I live in Gibsonton, across the street from Ward Hall & Chris Christ.

 

I am married to Trudy Wilson, who's parents were clowns Dime & Connie Wilson, & grandparents were dog trainers, & clowns Gil & Lil Wilson.

I ran across your site a while back, ("fabulous"), and because of it, I thought you might be able to help me ID a photo, it was among a batch I acquired from the Zacchini Booking Agency files some time ago.

I showed it to Ward today, & for once he was stumped, we agreed it was taken at the Tampa Showman's Club, probably in the '50's, I know Eddie Zacchini used to book the acts for all the club's activities. Eddie's brother Hugo, who gave me the photos is in bad health, in fact I just heard he is bed ridden, and his memory has not been good for a while anyway.

 

It is possible they are a Comedy Dance Act rather than Sideshow as there were some around back then.
