Dee Elmer Speer?

I found a picture at a yard sale taken at Robins Photography in Jonesboro Arkansas, on the back is the name Dee Elmer Speer (it is faded but that is my translation) it says age 9 225 pounds the girl is dressed much like a performer, I bought the picture for a dollar so some young kids would stop making fun (I am fat too so it touched my heart a little) but now I am wondering about the photo and the girl in it. can you help?

Rebecca; Thanks for your question and the image. 

I'm not sure who she is, there were may people that exhibited themselves as fat people in the sideshows over the years. 

Being fat or very huge was of interest to people in years past.  Like other things
that people hadn't be exposed to.  i.e. tall folks, short folks, con-joined folks etc. 

Today with TV and other media we see people all of the time on these shows. 

Also we see animals and performers do the same type of things they did in sideshows
years ago.  The interest isn't like it was when once a year the circus came to town
which was an exciting time for the towns folks. 

I have been heavy most of my life also and understand what people say and do it has given me an interesting perspective on life.
