 Hamid Morton Circus

George Hamid Sr. established this circus dynasty in the 1930's when he joined forces with Robert Morton to create the Hamid-Morton Circus. Hamid-Morton Circus was one of the first circuses to specialize in producing shows for Shrine Temples and other sponsors through out the United States. 

Elena’s mom was an aerialist with The Karpis Trio back…post WWII—apparently there was a billboard sized poster of the enclosed photo made… that I am trying to hunt down a repro of…Hamid’s grandson who runs the show now e-mailed me back & will do more research after he gets back from vacation in a month,

Talked to my mom yesterday.  She worked for the Shriner’s circus.  Her manager was a man called Hammett (spelling uncertain)  He was somehow involved with  the president of Morton salt, a certain Mr. Morton, who was a huge circus fan.
