The American Wild West Show consisted of a series of "historical" scenes interspersed with feats of showmanship, sharp shooting, trick riding and rodeo style events. 

 

Native Americans figured prominently in many of the scenes.  It was a living pictures of life on the frontier in all its realistic details, fact or fiction.
