High Winds thru the Night and Today...

High winds thru the Night and today...

Banners were down before it hit......

I slept like a baby...Except twice when the trailer rocked..

(The whole back of the tent is tied off to both trailers {all 80'}) however, since I converted to ratchets when I bought this tent I knew it was secured tight...

A glance out the window, everything snug, went soundly back to sleep....

After many years workin on Big tops paid off....not only in setting up tents, but in knowing how the stakes would hold when we drove them in...Also, knowing the type of tent to buy paid off....

I guess workin for $75 a week for many years under Good Boss canvasmen, Got us thru THIS TIME...

In all cases of Storm, some "Luck" is involved! and sometimes, all the experience and "Right" precautions, doesn't matter....SOooo, I guess Lady Luck gave us a Royal Flush...We will count our blessings.....and hope our tent has the same fate...When the next Strong Northern...blows in....which it will, before the season ends.....This is one of the "Gambles" of the 21st century Showman.......

Reporting from the trenches in Austin....

Till next time...So Long......The Curator
