Chapter 23

All-Seeing Eye (Part 1)

He who experiences the unity of life sees his own Self in all beings,

This chapter is about unique eyes of seers, fortunetellers, diviners, prophets, religious leaders, deities, and even sideshow freaks.

For the purpose of this chapter, selected images and pages are featured from the original 985-page manuscript entitled Takeshi Yamada on All-Seeing Eye by Takeshi Yamada.

In Sutras, Buddha (Gautama Siddhartha) stated humans have five eyes. Those eyes are the Physical eye, Heavenly eye, Wisdom eye, Dharma eye, and the Buddha eye. According to Buddha, these five eyes are already part of humans, and they are “opened” when people physically promote Kosenrufu (world wide propagation of Buddhism). The goal of Buddhism is Kousenrufu, and world peace is the simultaneous byproduct.

It should be noted here that Buddhism is one of the extremely rare mainstream religions, which never had any Holy Wars, Crisades, or Jihads in its history. (Holy Wars, Crusades, or Jihads are organized religious mass murder campaigns for killing other religious followers in the name of their own religions.) Buddhism founded by an Indian prince, Gautama Siddhartha has been accomplishing world peace WITHOUT any Holy Wars or Jihads against other religions, and its historical record is nothing less than miracles and the highest blessing by all the heavenly gods and goddesses of the universe.

The All-Seeing Eye is a single human eye surrounded by radiating beams of divine light. This unique eye can be found in many centuries, cultures and civilizations.  It is generally a symbol of the watchful and protective power of the God/Supreme Being, especially when that entity is considered in a solar or heavenly context. It is also known as the Eye of God.

This gold-and-glass pectoral amulet was discovered in the tomb of Tutankhamun near Luxor, Egypt. It depicts the familiar eye of Horus, a symbol of protection from evil, flanked by the cobra goddess representing Lower Egypt and the vulture goddess representing Upper Egypt.

In Egyptian mythology, Horus is the hawk, falcon, or god. Horus is a Latin form of a Greek word for the Egyptian name Heru, or Hor. The falcon or hawk was one of the first animals worshiped in Egypt. It was said to be the personification of the god Horus, who made the sky. (This mythological concept of worshipping a powerful bird such as the eagle as the ruler of the sky can be also found among Native Americans.)

Quo Modo Deum translates as 'This is the way of God'.

An all-seeing eye that appears on the tower of Aachen Cathedral.

One of the earliest ‘Eye of Providence within a triangle’ is the Palatine Chapel, Aachen Cathedral, built 786 CE by the first Holy Roman Emperor, Charlemagne. Interestingly, in this particular artwork, it looks more like the outline of the Great Pyramid than an equilateral form. 

In ancient/modern religions and cults where the evil-eye belief occurs, the All-Seeing Eye is one of many forms of reflective eye-charm (a form of good luck charm) used as apotropaic talismans (magical object to protect the bearer from evils).

Note: Apotrope (adj.: apotropaic) refers to objects such as amulets and talismans or other symbols intended to "ward off evil" or "avert or combat evil." Today, unfortunately, talismans, amulets, and charms are considered as the same magical objects by people due to their ignorance and luck of the basic education in main stream religions. That is why this word apotropaic is often used to clarify the intention of authors of their manuscripts. Originally, talisman is a magical object for bringing happiness. Amulet is a magical object to ward off evil. Charm is a word or words for bringing happiness and/or warding off evil (similar to the Christian blessing as seen today).

“All seeing eye” also appears on the Great Seal of the United States, and is among the many beautiful symbols of Freemasonry, where it represents the Great Architect of the Universe. It also appears in United States one dollar bill as shown below with magnifications.

“All-seeing eye” is a universal idea (or “elemental idea”) found in both Western and Eastern cultures. In Buddhism and Hinduism tradition, “All-seeing eye” is also linked with the Third Eye of Buddha (“Awakened One”), Bodhisattvas (one with deep compassion who sacrifices one’s life for saving others) and saints. In short, the third eye is a symbol of enlightenment and higher consciousness in Buddhism and Hinduism.

Four-eyed Chinese Man

Liu Ch'ung, the double-eyed man of China had two sets of pupils in each of his eyes. He later became Governor of Shansi, China and Minister of State in 995 A.D.

Regarding this famed Chinese freak, Takeshi Yamada stated, “It was so fortunate for Liu Ch’ung to be born in an Asian country because humans with extra body parts were often considered as living god/goddess in many Asian countries including big ones like China, Japan and India even today. This culture is not universal and if he was born in any Western nation of Christianity, Judaism or even Middle Eastern nation of Islam, he would have been immediately killed as a devil/demon/Satan. In the United States, today, due to the fanatic and militant abortion activists such as pro-choice activists (including feminazis) backed up by the money of liberal leftwing activists/politicians, more and more children of any birth defects (even the slightest degree of birth defects) are believed to have been CASUALLY murdered at hospitals around the nation. Liberalism is a Death Cult – Liberalism kills innocent humans by abortions (and euthanasia) -- One in Four unborn babies are killed artificially (abortion) for the convenience/inconvenience of his/her parents in the world, which means more people are killed by abortions than all wars combined every day. There are no sanctity of life and dignity of life in killing innocent humans by humans. Nature creates freaks as norm. The world without freaks is absolutely unnatural. Do you really think Dr. Stephen Hawking should have been killed because of his medical conditions?”

In 1931, Robert Ripley personally met a double-eyed man in Mills, Kentucky. His wax figure is also on display at Ripley’s museum around the world.

The picture of Liu Ch'ung are often featured at Dime Museum style sideshows at Midways among photographs of other human freaks and oddities.

Asian Gods with Many Eyes

There are many Hindu and Buddhism deities (Gods and Goddesses), who posses multiple additional heads and eyes (and arms and legs).

Rahula (Tib. kyab jug) is wrathful protector of the Revealed Treasure Tradition. His body is covered with numerous eyes as shown below. This god also has multiple heads and arms. This Buddhism deity’s appearance resembles many Hinduism deities.
