A.K.A.
tsantsa10, I am a 48-year-old retired tattooist.
I started
making gaffs after seeing some examples for sale on an
on-line auction made by other people.
I enjoy
seeing what other peoples designs so I have decided
it would be Cool to open a curiosity museum in the
future.
I have
been creating gaffs for that purpose. My gaffs are
one of a kind, except for the shrunken heads and the
little dark fairy.
These I
reproduce and sell on
Ebay to fund my museum
originals.
I use
plastic and rubber compounds for the gaffs I reproduce
but for the one of a kind gaffs I like to use natural
materials (mostly fresh road kill and donated dead
pets).
The
hardest part of making a gaff for me is acquiring the
parts needed.
I dont
like killing something to make a gaff. I have
everyone I know on a road kill alert. To make good
gaffs you need some artistic ability; however, a grasp
on taxidermy and anatomy is also useful. Most of all,
you need a way out imagination.
I like to
say, A gaff is 99% mystery and 1% road kill.
If you
lose the mystery all you got is road kill.
