LECTURE FOR SHRUNKEN HEADS.
|
LADIES AND
GENTLEMEN:
In the far away islands of the sea in the
jungles of Africa, the wilds of Borneo, and also
in the cannibal infested regions of South
America, live many cannibal tribes of jungle
warriors, Probably the best known of all
the cannibal tribes are the Jivaros, of Peru in
South America.
Those human
flesh eating cannibals were often spoken of by
the late Robert Ripley, in his Believe It Or
Not, These cannibal head hunters of Peru, are
very fond of human flesh and all other native
tribes very much fear the Jivaro warrior.
For well they
know the tortures and sure death that await them
if captured by this blood thirsty band of the
forest.
After a victim
is captured he or she, as the cane may be,
sometimes is held a prisoner for days and
great"feasting and rejoicing with dancing and
making hideous faces before the victim who soon
will be broiling over hot coals in the jungle
wilderness.
After all
ceremonies have been performed the captor of the
victim, after receiving much praise, is
permitted to take the life of the victim.
Sometimes victim
is slowly tortured to death by fire or
starvation, may be choked to death or killed by
the spear or bow and arrow. After death victim's
scalp is pulled over skull, leaving nose,
mouth, eyes and ears as much life like as is
possible. Scalp is filled with red hot grave!
and a sizzling starts. This may be kept up for
days until the heat has reduced the head to
desired size, then mouth of victim is sewed shut
so it will never divulge the jungle secrets in
the great Spirit World.
Ladies and Gentlemen for your
approval the Shrunken Head.
