A Unique Theatrical Extravaganza.

HOXTON HALL, LONDON N1.

December 19th - 30th 2006.

After a sell-out run, last March, the Insect Circus returns to
Hoxton Hall for the Christmas season.

Having spent the summer travelling the roads of England, Ireland, Scotland, and Germany, the Insect Circus is heading back to Hoxton.

Once one has encountered the magical world of the Insect Circus, how could one come away and forget about the Knife Thrower and the Brave Butterfly, or the Heroic Capt. Courage and his Vicious Vespa Wasps? Mr. Maroc the Beast Tamer, The Balancing Scarab Dungo, The Antics, Tallulah the Worm Charmer, Ephemera, Hat-trick Hattie or Fleur de Paree?

Alongside the above-mentioned acts, premiered to much acclaim last March, the following novel and astounding wonders will be presented: Fakira, the Queen of Mystery, Bobby Bob & her ladybird Bobbie and, (star turns at the recent Thames River Festival), The Mighty Mites Tea Party and the Mantid Tango.

Admirers of our astounding solo butterfly-borne aerialist, Baron Flutterby, will be pleased to learn that he will joined on the trapeze, to even greater effect, by his wife the Baroness.

With its combination of magical world, physical theatre, circus skills, dance and extraordinary costumes the Insect Circus is a variety show without parallel. Ten performers, including aerialists, a contortionist, a knife thrower and a magician are featured in a show of thirteen unique acts linked by a ringmaster.

In accompaniment with the Hoxton Hall show, an exhibition of posters and prints from the extraordinary collection of the Insect Circus Society will be presented.

The event will take place at Hoxton Hall, 130 Hoxton Street, London N1 from 19th - 30th December 2006 (There will be no shows on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day).
