Here's a list of the various circuses John Aasen worked in. He claimed to have worked for several, these are the ones I can verify

1916 - 1919 - Sells Floto Circus

1918 - Traveled with R. E Madsen and midget Lawrence Buck

1920 - 1922 - C. A. Wortham (in December 1921 made shows for Elks)

1922 - 1923 - acted in Why Worry with Harold Lloyd -

1923 - contracted with Sid Graumanns Million Dollar Theater in LA

1923 - Late autumn was hospitalized for 7 weeks due to blood poisoning? (not verified, based on what he said himself)

1924 - January/February - New York (lives at the Mc Alpine Hotel) on his way to Hawaii

1924/1925 - January with Rhoenix Carnival Company (in Hawaii)

1925 - June he toured with his manager Wayne Barlow of Clear Lake on the fair circuit.

1925 - Starting in August he was on the Rubin & Cherry Shows (The aristocrats of the tents)

1926 - Movie - Long live the King with Charley Chase and Oliver Hardy

1926 - 1927 Dutton Circus

1927 - Movies- Legionaries in Paris (Kit Guard and Al Cooke), Sting of Stings with Charley Chase and Two Flaming Youths with W. C. Fields and Mary Brian

1928 - Fanchon - Marcos Midget Follies

1928 - Movie - Growing Pains/Our Gang for Hal Roach

1929 - 1930 - Turned Elks blab Hawaii, went to Shanghai with Lillian La France

1930 - 1932 - Toured Australia then went to New Zealand for a year.

1933 - Hospitalized with brain tumor and weight problems, in and out of the hospital for the next couple of years.

1934 -Tourrf with midget Major Arthur

1935 - again hospitalized

1936 - Said to have been with Al. G. Barnes Circus? Hard to believe since he had been very sick at the time.

 

1936 Movies- Bengal Tiger with June Travis, Charlie Chan, At the Circus with Warner Oland

1937 - Hospitalized at Mendocino State

1938 - Died Aug. 1.
