Dolly the two headed cow is very familiar to me the man in the photos is my Grandpa John E. Thomson and the woman  is my Aunt Jackie Thomson.

Dolly was born in National City, CA on the family farm. She died from pneumonia at the age of 13.

She had fallen on some ice while boarding a train and broke her front leg.  My Uncle Carl, who was showing Dolly at the time because my Grandpa had died, had her stuffed but she wasn't prepared correctly and her skin deteriorated rapidly.

The photos on your site are actually publicity postcards my Grandpa had printed for handouts.

Dolly toured the circuit doing fairs and such. She even was shown at the World' Fair in New York.

Her favorite food to eat was watermelon.   Dottie Thomson-Kruse
