As far as I can remember, Pig Tail was shown in the case but Dutch may have resided there at one point.   Adonna slept on Dutch's Coffin, she told Popo that it helped her back.

 

They used to have a painted case but I don't know where that one ended up.  When we got George (the case) it had been on Mooney's front porch for quite a while.  It smelled! 

 

We had two kids and an Astro van pulling a trailer (we were on vacation) and George was a tight fit.  He went from the dashboard back to the back doors.  Alison had to climb over him to get to her seat. 

 

We stopped at Bull Run State park for the night and put him in giant garbage bags and taped them on.  It looked like we had a body.  In order to get the girls a little more comfortable with it, we named him George (Warner Brothers abominable snowman)  Then we made jokes about how he would have waved at the White House but he was a little to stiff. 

 

We were going to stand him next to a monument at Gettysburg but figured that would be pushing it.  All of this helped the girls and Adonna thought it was a riot.  She had a great sense of humor.  We were able to get her to come to West Des Moines just once but she got to see George again. 

 

When Adonna wrote to us she always included George in the address.

 

After we got him home, Adonna told us about how some of their crew kept their heroin stash in him.  I can only be grateful that we didn't know that at the time and that no K-9 cops stopped us on the road. Lynne
