Hells Belles
Pete Hennen gave
me the title "Hells Belles" in
1974 and helped me frame this
show. The inside was an
audio-visual display which
featured the Cobel collection as
well as photos from Diane Arbus
and film clips from the Hennen
collection. The inside lecture was
narrated by Peter G himself and
looped endlessly on the 16mm
optical sound track. Seemed like I
was always changing projector
bulbs...

This character was a Homer Tate creation and
was featured in a single-o grind show
entitled "The last of the Tree People",
quite appropriate since Tate made all of his
"little people" out of sticks and mud...
