SEPARATED BY HISTORY - MAKING SURGERY

Chicago: The Brodie Boys, Roger and Rodney, Siamese twins of Moline Ill., shown here being fed some months ago, have been separated by an unprecedented 12-hour, 40 minute operation at The University of Illinois Educational and research Hospital, Dec. 17.  Late reports said the 15-month-old twins were in critical condition after the long session of surgery.

The twins had been joined at the top of their heads and the separation was the first successful one of its kind in medical history.
