The Weird,
the Wonderful
This is the
first selection of images from the recently acquired
Dick Scott-Stewart collection to head in to our
galleries section. Previous work from this excellent
photographer has been compiled in our articles section.
Scott-Stewart's intensive photographic remit of 1974
caught the fairground show on the cusp of its hiatus. It
was all too evident on the 1974 fair, but was in decline
- reflected here with the somewhat morose quality of
these photographs. Freaks, cons, nudes and boxing were
the final elements in this fantastic story.
