The Circus of Wonders ran as part of the Showzam festival 2009, through the half-term break in February.

This exhibition, housed in the classic Winter Gardens, was a collaboration between Vanessa Toulmin (National Fairground Archive), Mark Copeland (Insect Circus) and Jon Marshall, with the incredible 'Great Omi' sculpture kindly provided by Anthony Bennett and the imposing Ghost Train opened by Marissa Carnesky as part of the conclusion of her much-acclaimed residency in Blackpool.

The exhibition attracted a great many visitors who came away with a mixture of excitement and bewilderment, just as in the classic days of the sideshow.
