Ward Hall

Recalls '48 Carnival Life - Pt 2

This is the second of three videos about Ward Hall and his first carnival sideshow experiences in the late 1940s. It's vintage interview material from the King of the American sideshow.

During a recent late-night interview at the Circus Historical Society convention in Peru, Ward Hall provided colorful details of his first experiences as a carnival sideshow operator in 1948.

This is vintage Ward Hall:

Show performers slept under platforms in their small tents, but food in the cookhouse was good, remembers Ward Hall, dean of American sideshow talkers/owners.
