Lord's Prayer on a penny circa 1920s

Hand painted sign advertising  elongated cent booth. This is an outstanding example of depression era carnival signage.

Elongated penny machines have been creating souvenirs at fairs and carnivals since the 1800's.

This sign advertising pennies embossed with the Lord's Prayer and the Ten Commandments dates to the late 1920's or early 1930's.
