A 4 Pound Hammer
I think I need to make a SUGGESTION.
A 4 pound hammer requires a lot of energy to drive in a stake. You will wear
yourself out using it. With my 65 years OF EXPERIENCE AND HAVING DRIVEN
THOUSANDS OF STAKES IN THAT TIME, I HAVE FOUND THAT THE BEST WEIGHT HAMMER IS 12
POUNDS.
YOU MAY NEED TO ADJUST THE LENGTH OF
THE HANDLE TO CREATE THE MOST EFFICIENT SWING. I'M NOT A BIG PERSON SO I
NEED TO CUT OFF TEN OR TWELVE INCHES OF THE HANDLE.
YEARS AGO ALL WE HAD TO WORK WITH
WAS A SLEDGE. FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS WE HAVE USED ELECTRIC (LIGHT WEIGHT) JACK
HAMMERS. IT SAVED MAN POWER, ALSO MONEY FOR REPLACEMENT OF BROKEN HAMMER
HANDLES.
I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK WITH
YOUR NEW ENDEAVOR. WITH THE NATIONS POOR ECONOMY, YOU WILL NEED SOME GOOD
LUCK.
BEST ADVICE: PERSEVERE!
