CROSS CONTAMINATION
by
Lee Kolozsy
If you put them all in one cage
you have CROSS CONTAMINATION...
Both my brother and I are having problems with reptile
health due to particularly nasty strains of bacterial
infections including pastorella and chlamydia as well as
other unidentified horrors that have microbioligists
reaching for the vodka...
This is a recent phenomenon...
Our two specimens have not had contact of any kind for five
years or more and both have somehow become infected...
We suspect the feed as this is the only possible common
link...
This is running rampant in the herp community...
Many dealers and collectors are dumping their stock...
Good time to buy hides...
My 380 lb 27 footer is responding well to about $400.00 in
antibiotics administered orally by catheter tube and
subcutaeniously by injection on alternating days...
Amakacin is a good general precautionary treatment for the
first signs of gurgling or indications of pneumonia...
My son Nikolas has been covering my bookings with his
unit...
It may be a while before my worm is back in action...
