H. S. MAGUIRE CIRCUS TRAINER OF "MASCOT" TALKING & PERFORMING HORSE

Circus performer, H. S. Maguire was a horse trainer and his star pupil was a white gelding horse named MASCOT.  The horse could add sums, recognize flags, play a tune on bells, tell the day, month and year and in front of audiences on command, would give his trainer a big wet kiss!  Traveling England and the European continent, Mascot appeared in the late 1890's and for some 20+ years.
