That
was the original drug abuse show operated by Mickey Saber and
Frank Hanson. It was the best ever done. When they got the idea
for the show they called me to find a fat man. Mickey didn't
explain what they were going to do. I told him of only one fat
man who was available at that time, and that he was a semi
invalid. He said he would be perfect and it was a blessing for
the fat guy who couldn't work in a regular ten in one or fat
show. He needed the job desperately. They got a lot of money
with that attraction, and the public were well satisfied due to
his tremendous size. Mickey gave me a beautiful gift for my
service. Later for several seasons they tied in with a sponsor
"Christian Farms" which helped with drug rehabilitation, and
they helped many people out of addiction. The great showmanship
they did everything first class and the fat man was NOT on
drugs.
