FLEAS

WORK FOR A LIVING

The most flea-bitten man in America has this to say about fleas, "The lion may be king of the beasts, the eagle the czar of the air, but the flea is the monarch of the insects in strength, activity and determination."  And Professor LeRoy Heckler should know what he is talking about because during the last fourteen  year he has supported, trained and exhibited more than 20,000 hungry and industrious fleas.

A WIRE COLLAR is attached around the flea's neck and remains there at all times.  The flea literally dies in harness, having an average life of six months.  They pull chariots three to four hundred times their weight.
