SKYSCRAPER FRENCHMAN
LIKES BASEBALL
George Kieffer, a 31 year old
resident of Obermoder, Alsace, France, and a member of the
French Forces of the Interior, is the favorite tall story of the
Yanks of the U. S. Seventh Army. Kieffer towers eight feet, six
and one-half inches. He is particularly fond of baseball, and,
since he speaks good English he has no trouble talking himself
into a sandlot game with soldiers of the Seventh Army. The
extra-size Frenchman says that he plans to go to the U. S. After
the war.
BATTER UP
George Kieffer eight feet six and one-half inches tall and a
member of the French Forces of the Interior waits for the
pitcher to serve a good one across the plate. Kieffer, who is
31 years old, is a confirmed baseball fan and never misses a
chance to take a cut at the ball with his friends of the U. S.
Seventh Army. The catcher crouched behind the plate in the
image with Kieffer, is Private William Martin, of Philadelphia
Pa.
