Tallest Man Dies

Henry Hite, 63, vaudeville performer who had to drive his Volkswagen for the back seat, has died of heart and liver aliments.  Hite, who billed himself as 8 feet 2, was actually 7 feet 6-3/4 according to Guinness Book of World Records.  He wore size 22 shoes and his sleeves were 42 inches long.  In 1971 photo above, he leans against the second story of a Los Angeles motel.  His body was cremated on Saturday in Chicago.
