Around the town with a Giant
New York - Jack in the storybook,
our cameraman didn't have to climb a
beanstalk to interview this giant.
He is Robert Wadlow, 8 feet 9 inches
in his socks and weighs 450 pounds.
Being a giant has its disadvantages,
tailors and shoemakers do not turn
out haberdashery for giants as part
of their regular working scheduled;
nor do hotels feature rooms and beds
for giants. The camera shows you
how Robert gets over some of his
difficulties. He is the star
attraction at the Ringling Brothers,
and Barnum and Bailey circus which
opens at Madison Square Garden on
Thursday, April 8th.
A sailor aboard the S.S. Queen Mary
points out interesting features to
the biggest visitor who ever boarded
the ship. He is Robert Wadlow.
