Ward Hall Honored
by the
"Outdoor
Amusement Business Association"
On Sat Feb 9, 2008
at the annual general meeting of the "Outdoor Amusement
Business Association" Ward Hall was inducted into the OABA Hall
Of Fame.
He is the thirtieth
person to be so honored. Of the people so honored, only eight
are still living. Mr. Hall is the first show operator to be
placed into the Hall of Fame.
The inauguration was
held in the ballroom of the Crown Plaza Hotel in Tampa, Fl.
Among the large attendance present to applaud Mr. Hall, as he
was presented the beautiful gold statuette were many managers of
state, regional, and provincial fairs and expositions of the
United States and Canada, and owners and managers of many of the
principal carnivals from throughout the continent.
We of the state
fairs press corp. wish Mr. Ward Hall, and his partner Mr. C. M.
Christ continuing success as the preeminent producers of
fairgrounds midway shows.
Congratulations to
Ward Hall for his honor of being inducted into the International
Independent Showman's Assn, Hall of Fame, on Wed Feb. 6 and
inducted into the Outdoor Amusement Business Assn. Hall Of Fame
on Sat Feb 9.
"The King of The
Sideshows' continues now in his sixty second year in sideshow
business.
As stated by the
inducting officer of OABA, "The Name Hall and Christ always
means the ultimate finest in midway shows."
