The elephant dung no longer decorates my boots and the shovel lays idle. The days of driving to a new town each day are gone. The yellow shirts with circus logo hang within the closet gathering dust. For they have done their job and the memories shall always be part of me.
I now reside in Mesa, Arizona with the woman who has become part of me through trust, understanding, patience, acceptance, sharing and most of all, Love. For this lady - is the reason for the smile upon my face and the glow about me. Because of her, this story was written.
My check-ups continue to be negative, yet we both know the battle is not won. Our spirits do not weaken for we both realize that if we accept life's trials without a fight, then we have chosen the wrong jury...
