UCM Museum and Mystery House
Last week we went to the UCM Museum near New Orleans. What an odd, wonderful place! We met the curator, John, a few years back when we played the East State Fair in Baton Rouge. John emailed me when we were at the Baton Rouge State fair and asked if we had time to come visit. We're so glad we did on our way back from Florida picking up a two body, six legged calf. John treated Candy and I and crew like a million dollars. First thing John asked us is if we wanted something to drink from his gift shop. Then he asked if we wanted any of the merchandise in the gift shop. We turned his hospitality down on both counts because we just ate lunch and didn't want to take advantage of his generousity. Then he proceeds to give me a half alligator/half squirrel he created. Then he gave us a full tour with a full explanation on each piece (thousands!) Then he sat down with us in the middle of the tour and we had quite a jackpot session. These photos show some of my favorites: the two headed alligator and the 32 foot gator.
